1. Introduction

PhoenixZ is an audio-first social platform for live conversations and communities. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use PhoenixZ.

We believe in data minimization and privacy-conscious operation. We collect and process information necessary to provide our service, maintain safety and security, and fulfill our legal obligations.

2. Information We Collect

Account and Authentication Information

When you create an account, we collect:

Email address
Authentication identifiers
Google Sign-In information (if you choose this authentication method)
Account identifiers necessary to operate the service

Profile Information

You may provide:

Display name or username
Bio or profile description
Avatar or profile image

Social Information

We process:

Follower and following relationships
Follower and following counts
Join date

User-Generated Content

We may temporarily process content you create or share, including room chat messages and other user-submitted content, as necessary to operate the service.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Provide, maintain, and improve PhoenixZ
Create and manage your account
Enable live audio rooms and social features
Maintain safety, security, and platform integrity
Enforce our Terms of Service
Comply with legal obligations

4. Public Profiles and Visibility

Public profiles display information intended to be public, including display name, avatar, bio, follower count, following count, and join date.

Private Live Rooms are never exposed through public profiles.

We do not publicly display private room membership, participation history, room IDs, room names, or private room chat history.

5. Live Audio and Room Communications

PhoenixZ provides live audio communication. Live audio is not recorded or stored by PhoenixZ as a replay or archive. Live audio transmission is part of the service, but ordinary room audio is not retained after the room ends.

6. Chat and Content Retention

Ordinary room chat is not permanently stored after the room ends. When a room ends, ordinary chat content is deleted.

Exception: If content is reported or reasonably necessary for safety, abuse investigation, security, fraud prevention, Terms enforcement, legal compliance, or protection of rights, limited information may be temporarily retained for investigation. Such information is deleted when no longer reasonably necessary, subject to lawful retention requirements.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

With your consent or at your direction
With service providers who assist in operating PhoenixZ (Supabase, LiveKit, Vercel, Cloudflare)
For safety and security purposes
To comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process

8. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information. Upon deletion request, your account enters the deletion process and associated information is deleted where reasonably possible.

Limited information may be retained for up to 30 days only where reasonably necessary for legal obligations, fraud prevention, security investigation, or protection of rights. Not all user data is automatically retained for 30 days—only information required for these purposes.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

10. Age Requirements

PhoenixZ requires users to be at least 13 years old. However, you must also satisfy any higher minimum age, parental consent requirement, or other age requirement applicable in your country or jurisdiction. PhoenixZ is not designed as a children's service.

11. International Data Transfers

PhoenixZ may be accessed internationally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. We use appropriate safeguards where legally required to protect information transferred internationally.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of PhoenixZ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
